The Coming Decade: Brought to You in Part EA Sports

EA SPORTS: It's in the know.

I haven't been following video games as closely as I used to (... I suppose I'm not 12, or 19, or 7, or whatever, anymore). But I did happen to notice on one of my usual cyberstops that Electronic Arts is ramping up to release the next iteration of Tiger Woods PGA Tour, this year cleverly titled "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10". I've been wondering for a while how we were going to handle the transition into the new decade, at least when it came to naming conventions. Apparently EA has decided for us. We'll just go straight to the two digit year; no "oh-ten", no "twenty-ten", just 10. Apparently Commandante Obama was too busy making peace with, well, everyone, to decide how we'll handle this. I'm just glad someone figured it out.

Now I'm curious to see if this will stick. If you think about it, we're coming into the prime season for 2010 naming rights: "next years" video games, automobiles, zagat guides, designer fashions, you name it, will start to be released in the next 2-3+ months. What do you think? Do you prefer '10, 2010, 10, oh-10, you name it? And what do you think it will end up being? Leave a comment and let us know.

Note to Jack Edwards

Please stop saying "mucks for the puck". Too many "uck" words in one sentence... I'm afraid you are going to uck up and get yourself suspended... and that would be very sad for Bs fans.
